Overview
Background
This design started from a Sharpen prompt while working on the Google UX Certification. IT turned into something that I am really proud of.
The app focuses on helping people in need of a nutrition app that does not have any features that would make it difficult to use. It is accompanied by a web app that directs you towards the mobile app.
The Problem
There was not an app that allowed users to get nutritional information and meal plans without creating an account. There were also issues with navigation and knowing what to do next.

The Goal
Provide a nutrition app that is easy to use and provides all of the nutritional information and a way to create meal plans.
Defining the Problem

The evaluation process started with interviewing friends and family who don't understand tech and how to use apps as well.
Users struggled with finding an app that was very easy to use and had all the features of the other application. Users did not like having to log in and give out personal information or creating an email just to log in to an app they might not use.
Key Insights
Nutrition apps always make you log in or pay for the information they offer.
The process and navigation through the app is tricky. Buttons and pages are not clearly labeled enough.
Finding the app is frustrating and websites usually have information just as good.

Implement a solution for users to schedule and prioritize meals for certain times of day.
Provide users with a feature to remember certain articles or meals that were liked by the user.
Create filters for the recipes and articles pages so that users could cater meals to their needs.
Provide a solution in meal types for vegans and vegetarians.

Lessons Learned
I learned a lot from creating this application. Design Systems made huge impact on how I wrote this app, and influenced me on how I will work in the future.
Out of any of the apps I have created so far this one feels the most like a website and mobile app. The colors and feel of the app create a user experience more fluid than any of my other applications.
This being said creating a nutritional app with no previous knowledge on how to do this gave me some trouble. The competitive audit and user interviews gave me a lot of insight on how to accomplish these results.
The Future of Easy Nutrition
The goal for the future of this app could exist but doesn't seem too likely. I like where this application finished and I wanted to put a bow on it while I still can. I tend to have a perfectionist mind and I could modify until I am blue in the face.
If someone views this portfolio and decides they want me to collaborate with developers on it I would be more than open to that possibility.
